Appointment of Global Commercial Operations Director

New Milton, UK, July 5th, 2007. Genetix Group plc (LSE: GTX) announces today that it has appointed Terry Pizzie as Director of Global Commercial Operations. Terry has over 20 years´ experience in the life science sector and he will take responsibility for all of Genetix´ international commercial activities including sales and marketing as from September 1st 2007.

Terry has a broad range of international commercial experience within our sector. Prior to joining Genetix, he held the position Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations with Biacore, a market leader in protein interaction analysis in research, drug discovery development and manufacturing, a position he held since joining that company in March 2005. During his time with Biacore Terry introduced improved sales processes and structural changes and the company enjoyed significant sales growth. Following the acquisition of Biacore last August by GE Life Sciences he continued to manage the business while steering the integration process.

Before joining Biacore he was Vice President Europe of Applied Biosystems. Prior to assuming control of all of Applied Biosystems European operations, Terry, was Vice President of Sales and Marketing Europe, responsible for all commercial aspects, including Strategy, Sales, Marketing and Support execution.
